Christmas: [krismәs]: The annual Christian festival celebrating Christ’s birth; held on December 25th.

So Christmas came and went. Christmas 2011 was tough to get through, but it was well worth it. We spent some time with family and friends. Although, someday I hope that I will be able to spend Christmas with my side of the family as a WHOLE FAMILY, but I guess that is for the future. I love the music of Christmas and the feelings around that time. In my life, I have tried to emulate those feelings all the way through the year by serving those around me. I haven’t done as well as I want to, but that can change because I will do better. Something I find kind of depressing is that my computer is much smarter than me. It kind of makes me feel sad when it corrects my grammar… because what should a machine know!?! Don’t worry I’m not that crazy, I know computers are super smart… but I wonder how they became so smart and who inputted all the grammatical rules to make sure it told us what we wrote was wrong. I say this because about 4 sentences ago, when I wrote “I haven’t done as well as…” it corrected me. The original sentence went like this, “I haven’t done as good as…” Thus bad grammar on my part. That last sentence is actually a fragmented sentence, but just out of rebellion, I’m not going to fix it.

Back to the subject I am writing about… oh yah, Christmas. I love Christmas. Juniper got a child recliner, a walking puppy, tinkerbell pjs, a Velcro stackable sandwich set, and some other cute things… (she was the most spoiled, of course). Jesse got a helmet for his dirt bike (he chose it out himself and then called me and asked if he could get it for Christmas), a knife (which he also picked out himself and called me about), and something else that he chose that I can’t remember, I picked out 2 books for him Prophecy & Revelation –W. Cleon Skousen, and 65 signs of the Time – David Ridges. I got a beautiful necklace from Jesse (it’s blue with a tiny real diamond above it), and man it’s been so long that I forgot anything else that I got. Oops. J Our Christmas tree was about 4 feet tall, and decorated quite beautifully I might add; with plastic ornaments of course.

For New Year’s Eve, we spent it with Dave and Judy, Jesse’s parents. It was fun, we watched the Mentalist, I think, and then we had sparkling cider that was half frozen. It was actually quite delicious and I think that I will have some more often, even if it isn’t a holiday, just because I like it. I can make any day a holiday… a celebration of being alive and happy. I heard this really good quote the other day, “Don’t forget to say your prayers, because God didn’t forget to wake you up this morning.” I think that is quite true, and I’ve now been thanking my Heavenly Father for that every day for that exact thing.

Well, you’re probably going to be sick of me, because I’m going to post another post just so this isn’t too long, and because I want to change the subject a lot. Haha.
