Baby: [babe]: A very young child, esp. one newly or recently born.

Well, if you can’t guess by the title of this post what I’m going to talk about, then I guess I will have to tell you. We are having another baby!!!! And even more news, it’s going to be another girl!

Did I just blow you out of the water?! Too much news at once, I know. Haha.

Jesse and I are excited. We are 16 weeks and 3 days along right now. Now I bet you’re wondering what names we are thinking of, but you’re just going to have to wait until later to find out, because I have noticed once I start telling people what I want to name my child, the names start appearing rapidly among many newborn babies. I’m not going to go into any more detail than that though. So when our new baby is born, you’ll hear what we name her. I have had morning sickness with this girl more than I did with Juniper, but it is gone now. It disappeared about 3 or 4 weeks ago, lucky me. With Joon, I had terrible acid reflux, but I haven’t had that as bad yet. Although last night I had a dream that I had heartburn, and I woke up actually having heartburn. I guess dreams really do come true….. Not a really nice dream, but nonetheless it came true.

I don’t know if Joon actually understands what is going on with my pregnant belly, but she still does really cute things. Juniper is about 16 months old (1 year and 4 months). Well when I tell her there is a baby in my tummy she pulls my shirt up enough to see my tummy. Then she pokes my belly button, pokes my mole by my belly button and then pats it. When I tell her to give the baby kisses, she leans into my belly to kiss it and then she hugs my belly. She is so adorable. I don’t know if she understands what she’s doing, and I’m pretty sure she’ll be more jealous than anything when her little sister is born.

When we went in last week to find out the gender; Jesse was hoping for a boy, and I didn’t have too much of a preference. I was nervous if it was a boy because all I really know about baby boys is they turn into violent, crazy, loveable, creatures that hurt themselves an awful lot. (I have little brothers if you can’t tell). The doctor got a look and then said, “Let me check again to make sure I’m right.” She looked again and showed me and Jesse, stating it was a girl. Then just for sure, she checked one more time and it was still a girl. So we’re pretty positive it’s a female. Jesse was hoping she would say, “Just kidding.” Or that next dr. apt it would have been a mistake and it would really be a boy. I guess we’ll find out if she got it right on our next appointment. Haha, poor Jesse, but I bet the next child we have after this one will be a boy. He really wants one.

Let me update you about the whole family now… I guess I already told you that Juniper is about 16 months old now. She is a happy child for the most part, and is currently (at this exact moment) pulling apart her piece of toast and putting the pieces on my arm and on my chair. She has 16 teeth now! I can’t believe how many she has, and she has learned to say, “No.” This is a good and a bad thing. The good thing is she knows how to use it, and if she doesn’t want something, she’ll let me know. The bad part is she says it a lot now. Sigh, I am in the process of teaching her new words to help her drift away from the focus of “No”. I am also teaching Joon to go potty on her own little potty. She’s been doing pretty well, but we’re still a very long ways away from being “potty trained”.

I’m still in school, but this will be my last semester. I am taking Int. Painting 2, Int. digital Photography, Studio Photography, Art Portfolio, Health & wellness (online), College Algebra (online), and Art History 2 (online). 17 credit hours… this will be a long, but worthwhile semester. The due date for baby girl #2, is July 8th, so I will thankfully have her after the semester is over.

Jesse is still the manager up here in Buhl, at the greenhouses. He seems to like it, although he will disagree sometimes. I guess since he’s younger than a lot of the people here, he feels it’s hard to get the respect he deserves, and it probably doesn’t help he looks younger than he is. He is working out a lot at the gym, and he is surviving and enjoying teaching seminary. We just did report cards for his students last night… that took a while.

Well that is the update so far about our life here in Spudville. I hope you enjoyed the immense amount of information.

Christmas: [krismәs]: The annual Christian festival celebrating Christ’s birth; held on December 25th.

So Christmas came and went. Christmas 2011 was tough to get through, but it was well worth it. We spent some time with family and friends. Although, someday I hope that I will be able to spend Christmas with my side of the family as a WHOLE FAMILY, but I guess that is for the future. I love the music of Christmas and the feelings around that time. In my life, I have tried to emulate those feelings all the way through the year by serving those around me. I haven’t done as well as I want to, but that can change because I will do better. Something I find kind of depressing is that my computer is much smarter than me. It kind of makes me feel sad when it corrects my grammar… because what should a machine know!?! Don’t worry I’m not that crazy, I know computers are super smart… but I wonder how they became so smart and who inputted all the grammatical rules to make sure it told us what we wrote was wrong. I say this because about 4 sentences ago, when I wrote “I haven’t done as well as…” it corrected me. The original sentence went like this, “I haven’t done as good as…” Thus bad grammar on my part. That last sentence is actually a fragmented sentence, but just out of rebellion, I’m not going to fix it.

Back to the subject I am writing about… oh yah, Christmas. I love Christmas. Juniper got a child recliner, a walking puppy, tinkerbell pjs, a Velcro stackable sandwich set, and some other cute things… (she was the most spoiled, of course). Jesse got a helmet for his dirt bike (he chose it out himself and then called me and asked if he could get it for Christmas), a knife (which he also picked out himself and called me about), and something else that he chose that I can’t remember, I picked out 2 books for him Prophecy & Revelation –W. Cleon Skousen, and 65 signs of the Time – David Ridges. I got a beautiful necklace from Jesse (it’s blue with a tiny real diamond above it), and man it’s been so long that I forgot anything else that I got. Oops. J Our Christmas tree was about 4 feet tall, and decorated quite beautifully I might add; with plastic ornaments of course.

For New Year’s Eve, we spent it with Dave and Judy, Jesse’s parents. It was fun, we watched the Mentalist, I think, and then we had sparkling cider that was half frozen. It was actually quite delicious and I think that I will have some more often, even if it isn’t a holiday, just because I like it. I can make any day a holiday… a celebration of being alive and happy. I heard this really good quote the other day, “Don’t forget to say your prayers, because God didn’t forget to wake you up this morning.” I think that is quite true, and I’ve now been thanking my Heavenly Father for that every day for that exact thing.

Well, you’re probably going to be sick of me, because I’m going to post another post just so this isn’t too long, and because I want to change the subject a lot. Haha.
